Activity Description
A mounting body of evidence continues to demonstrate promising clinical potential for a range of drug classes to treat patients with bladder cancer. Approved and emerging therapeutic strategies that include immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) inhibitors, antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs), and other classes of agents are changing outcomes for patients with locally advanced or metastatic disease, while those with earlier-stage disease, including non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) or high-risk muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC), are benefiting from bladder-sparing and perioperative approaches. In this PeerView Live Chapter meeting, developed in collaboration with the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network, bladder cancer experts will interpret clinically meaningful evidence on immune-, targeted-, antibody-based, and other novel therapeutic options for bladder cancer, provide insights into the urology-oncology partnership in the management of patients with this malignancy, and share clinical examples of how to overcome suboptimal therapeutic outcomes. This CME/MOC/NCPD/AAPA/IPCE-certified activity based on workshop sessions will highlight established and novel therapeutic approaches that are enabling improved outcomes across the bladder cancer disease spectrum, along with practical expert guidance needed for clinicians to acquire the skills and strategies necessary to ensure that patients are managed in an optimal, personalized manner.
